Sir Titus Salt

Sir Titus Salt

Sat down one day

And thought

My folk just need

To work and pray

I’ll find a spot

And build a place

For my own

My fine gift

To the human race

Without too much

Without any less

Where folk can live

Proud of home

All clean and safe

What a father

Wants for his child

Green lands

Beside a river

A proud hillside

To climb and see

The glory of god

The life giving valley

Our mother Aire

Our lifeblood.
