I saw a giant spider

Sitting in a bin

I asked the hairy beastie

How he had got in

But he refused to

Speak a word

Which I thought was

Quite absurd

I wanted so to

Help him

I didn’t want a

Dead thing

To throw away outside

But no matter how I tried

He wouldn’t move

A hair

So I carried the bin

To where

I thought was a

Safe place

The wide car park

He faced

But I felt he

Didn’t dare

To saunter out

Just there

So I turned up the bin

Expecting a dead

Old thing

To come floating down

But my spider

Like a clown

Did five somersaults

On the way

And can I just say…

I only screamed a bit!
